I was able to set this up with Alexa and Google Home, everything works as advertised. I actually had an issue with setup but I went to the manufacturer's website and got an online chat rep instantly. Turns out I needed to sync it using a different button, was tricky because my remote didn't have the most of the exact buttons it was asking me to use for sync. Once setup though I am able to control every function of my fan and light. Each fan comes with its own remote control, assigned directly to that particular machine. Typically, ceiling fan remotes have jumpers or dip switches to change their frequency.

My only want is a "set speed to medium" command in the Alexa skill. High and low works, but not medium for a 3 speed fan. I have to say "set to 66%" which is a little awkward and non intuitive.
Range is good although I need to try relocating further away to determine just how far I can go. The biggest down side for me was the full retail price, which is a bit excessive, but if you can get it on sale it's worthwhile. If it can be controlled with one remote, it is one device. However, the fan speed should still work regardless. Do you press the same button to turn the lights on/off? If you have the former and use remotes to turn lights on/off, you should not use the “track state” option.
The blue LED on the top is a little annoying but the size is perfect to have the echo dot sit on top to hide it.
