She worked for over 20 years for the University of Massachusetts in the medical records department before retiring in 1994. Mr. Carpino was a shoe salesman for forty years, Employed in Poughkeepsie for Warshaw Shoes, and in The Kingston Plaza at Rowes Shoes. He was employed for a brief time at The City of Kingston Water Treatment facility, and the uptown parking garage.
As a self-taught musician, he entertained the family for many years and enjoyed that music to the end. The last several years were stolen from him as he struggled with Alzheimer’s but he will always be remembered as a quiet and gentle man. He was kind, had a sense of humour and was deeply committed to his family. Our heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at Waypoint Hospital’s Horizon program and Mariposa House Hospice as well as the assistance of Helping Hands and the VON program.
